Dielectric Breakdown Tester

The tester performs the dielectric breakdown test on round film insulated magnet wire according to NEMA MW-1000. Optional fixtures allow the NOVA 1401 to test tape, film, sheet insulation and rectangular wire. The tester has a test voltage range of 0 to 20,000 volts AC. The rate of voltage rise is selected through the rotary switch from 20 to 500 volts per second. It tests magnet wire sizes 10 to 44 AWG. Optional voltage to 30 kV.
