Pneumatic Snap Elongation Tester
with Speed Display Module

This tester performs the ’Sudden Jerk’ elongation test according to NEMA MW-1000 specifications. It uses compressed air to “snap elongate” the wire specimen to the desired percent elongation. The test determines the adhesion characteristics of the magnet wire insulation to the conductor. The percent elongation is easily adjustable from 0 % to 50 %. A polycarbonate safety shield protects the operator. It tests magnet wire sizes 14 to 30 AWG.
