The NOVA 510 NEMA and IEC Springback Tester perform the magnet wire springback test according to NEMA-1000 and IEC specifications. The NEMA Springback test section have a mandrel with three (3) sets of diameters that accommodate wire sizes from 14 AWG to 30 AWG (0.25mm to 1.6mm). The motor rotates the mandrel three (3) revolutions to wind the wire. Upon completion of the test, the graduated scales determines the amount of springback.

The IEC Springback test section has a drive shaft that accepts the mandrels required for the IEC springback test.The motor rotates the mandrels for 5 revolutions to wind the wire. On completion of the test, the graduated scales determine the springback value. Springback values are used to determine the softness of the copper wire.
